Shiga
Shiga Prefecture is located on the east side of Kyoto Prefecture, and it is 10 minutes by train from Kyoto Station to Otsu, the capital of Shiga. Shiga developed as a supplier and a relay point for supplies and human resources to Nara, Kyoto and Osaka. The Lake Biwa (above picture), occupy one sixth of the prefecture area. Must see: Lake Biwa, Nagahama, and Hikone castle
