Habu Matsuri
Habuhachiman-jinja-no Okashira-shinji
The festival features “Soto no Odori Shishi” (literally, dancing lion with two heads) performed by four dancers. They dance without instrument but only with the sign of presence from Hoko (long-handled Chinese spear) and Sasara (bundle of thinly cut bamboo pieces) each held by a male and female devil.
