Koza Kochi Matsuri
Kochi Matsuri no Mifune-gyoji
The origin of this magnificent ship festival is said to be the triumphant return of the Kumano Suigun navy from the war between the Minamoto clan and the Taira clan. Various events, including the Koza lion dance performance in dedication to the deity of the shrine and the kaidenma rowboat race, are held.
