Founded in 1743, Hakutsuru is one of Japan's leading sake breweries based in East Nada Ward, Kobe, Japan. Nada, located at the base of Mount Rokko, is a region blessed with ideal conditions for sake brewing and boasts the highest sake production volume in Japan. In addition to brewing sake using only carefully selected sake rice, Hakutsuru is also working to revitalize the entire sake industry by developing its own sake rice variety, Hakutsuru Nishiki.
In the Hakutsuru Sake Brewery's original museum, which was built in the Taisho era, the old-fashioned sake brewing process and traditional tools are carefully displayed so that guests can learn about the history of sake. Guests can also try sake at the permanent tasting corner. Hakutsuru Sake Brewery is committed to promoting Japanese sake to the world by offering overseas shipping for international tourists, and plans to expand the number of countries and products it handles in the future.
