Saga Otaimatsu-shiki
This event is related with Nehan-e (memorial service for the anniversary of Buddha’s death). They predict how rich or how poor the harvest of the year will be by burning three 7-meter high torches. The fortune of rice and stock pricing is also predicted by the height of 13 lanterns with long arms. This is one of top 3 fire festivals in Kyoto.
