Recycling that starts from kitchen waste, Kyoto Indigo Dyeing Experience Tour
The Kyoto indigo industry crumbled during the Taisho era (1912-1926). This project aims to revive it with hands-on experiences of dyeing with Kyoto indigo. Kitchen waste from ordinary households is composted using LFC composting, and the unused compost is collected and used for growing Kyoto indigo.
