Garden Museum Hiei
Garden Museum Hiei" is a garden arts museum with a motif based on French impressionist paintings. Located at the summit of Mt. Hiei at an elevation of 840 meters, it showcases vistas of the natural beauty that enthralled these artists. The museum also displays ceramic board reproductions of the works of Monet, Renoir, van Gogh and others amidst gardens of seasonal flowers and herbs. The impressionist works spring to life amid the natural light and scenery, changing their faces with the season. An amazing view with Lake Biwa and Kyoto in the distance.
