Awa Ningyo-joruri puppet play in Nosonbutai theater
The current theater is the one rebuilt in 1898.It is a Kasetsushiki-Funazoko-Butai type, which is rare in Japan.On the evening of Sunday in late October and November 22 every year, a traditional puppet play using Dekoningyo (doll with the expressive facial gesture) is performed.
