
Uji City Municipal Tea House Taihoan
The authentic Taihoan tea house was built to promote Uji tea and spread the joys of the tea ceremony. The tea house is named after its relative position to the Phoenix Hall of the nearby Byodo-in Temple. Not only can visitors enjoy real Uji tea and seasonal snacks, those who wish to do so can learn about and take part in tea ceremony procedures (reservations required).
