Wakaebis Brewery

Wakaebis Brewery

Wakaebis Brewery, founded in 1853 in Iga City, Mie Prefecture, is located in the Iga Basin and is surrounded by mountains. The Iga Basin is also known as the home of the Iga Ninja. We make sake with soft groundwater flowing from the Aoyama Plateau at an altitude of 800 meters from sake rice produced in Mie Prefecture. We pay special attention to the milling process by using our in-house rice milling machine after we check the moisture content and quality of the brown rice we purchase. We are actively developing a new line-up made from yeast native to Mie Prefecture while also developing new exciting ways to enjoy sake. Our most popular product is Gizaemon.
