Tour Washoku and Traditional Restaurant

Tour Washoku and Traditional Restaurant

This tour of longstanding Kyoto eatery Kinsuitei – an outstanding example of modern Japanese architecture – provides guests with a guided architectural tour and meal of kaiseki formal banquet cuisine. Take this chance to savor the depth of Kinsuitei's Kyoto cuisine, made from only the finest of seasonal ingredients. Afterwards, take a guided tour of the fascinating architecture of the restaurant facility, taking in the atmosphere of the time of its creation. The Nakata couple serve as guides on the tour, and work as architects designing and restoring Japanese-style structures from their home base in Kyoto. The couple will guide visitors through the lakefront areas and main building, as well as structures that are normally closed to the public in order to fully take in the atmosphere of Kinsuitei's unique modern Japanese architecture.
