Accreditation Museum
Certifed as a "Heart Barrier-Free" Facility by the Japan Turism Agency, Ministory of Land, Infrastrycture, Transport and Tourism
Established in 1993 within the Citizens’ Forest, the facility features exhibits centered on living creatures—from the nationally designated Natural Monument, the Beech Forest of Mt. Izumi Katsuragi, down to Osaka Bay—including insects, plants, marine fish, freshwater fish, crustaceans, shellfish, amphibians, and reptiles. Specimens, live animals, fossils, and minerals are also on display. The museum organizes citizen-participation nature observation events and research projects, and provides outreach lectures for schools and various organizations.

Our museum also offers wheelchair rentals, written communication, multipurpose toilets and handicapped parking in front of our entrance.
