Hands-on Pearl Harvesting Workshop

We keep an aquarium stocked with Akoya pearl oysters from the seas of Ise for 24-hour availability. Pearls – natural treasures, each one distinct from the next. Experience the joy and surprise of finding a pearl in a shellfish yourself in the pearl extraction experience, where you remove pearls from living shellfish. We hope everyone grows a bit more fond of pearls and more eager to use them regularly through the pearl extraction experience. Each Akoya pearl extracted is entirely unique, and can be kept after brief processing into a pendant, broach, pin, or other accessory of your design by our experienced artisans (finished items may be delivered to your hotel later that day during fully scheduled days). Take home a gemstone of the sea that will always shine alongside the memory of your trip.
