This group of Japanese apricot trees (often referred to as plum blossoms) sits halfway up the hills of the town of Hokusogi. Not to be outdone by the cherry blossoms on Mt. Yoshino, the trees' flowers burst into bloom in early spring. There are about 20,000 apricot trees here. Their beauty has inspired just as much awe as Mt. Yoshino's cherry blossom trees. A trip around the mountain through the aromatic air takes about three hours.
