Moto Ise Naiku Kotai Shrine

Fifty-four years before the Sun Goddess Amaterasu was formally enshrined at the Ise Grand Shrine in Mie Prefecture, she was worshipped here at Moto Ise Naiku Kotai Shrine. The name loosely translates as “the original Ise.”
