Hogon-ji Temple, Chikubushima Island
Chikubushima Island is a place of mystery, myth, and gods. Hogon-ji Temple on the island is home to numerous fascinating spots, including the Karamon Gate, a national treasure said to be the only remaining structure from Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s Osaka Castle, as well as important cultural properties such as the Kannon-do Hall, the Funa-roka corridor, and the five-story stone pagoda.
