This page provides official travel information about World Kite Museum Higashiomi Oodako Hall and nearby attractions in the Kansai region of Japan.
This museum is a popular family tourist spot in Higashiomi City, Shiga Prefecture. In addition to a huge kite from Higashiomi which is around 100 tatami mats in size (13 m x 12 m), other exhibits include local and traditional kites from all over Japan, as well unique, colorful kites from various countries around the world. Visitors can also take part in a workshop to make their own simple kite.
