The Dorohaccho Gorge

Here you can see the oldest accretionary prism in the Nanki Kumano Geopark area. The deep gorge was formed by a stratum that was hardened by the magma heat, and later, eaten away by the Kitayama-gawa River. Today, you can enjoy a jet ship cruise between Shiko and Dorokyo Gorge.
