The geo-art - created by 200 million years of time.
Oboke and Koboke is a large valley of about 8km in length along the Yoshino River, a torrent flowing through a steep V-shape. It is said that the name was given to it because it means that it is dangerous to walk with either large or small step.
The rock formations, which can be seen up close, were created deep in the ocean floor 200 million to 100 million years ago and were accidentally brought to the surface by uplift and erosion by the Yoshino River. It is a wonderful natural landscape where strange sculpture-like rock formations and the beauty of the ravines in each season are fused together.
There is also a sightseeing boat to enjoy a close up view of Yoshino River.

Japan's three most unusual bridges, the Kazura bridge.
One of Japan's three most unique bridges. It is said that the bridge was built using a plant called “Kazura” (bower actinidia) so that it could be cut off at any time to escape from pursuers. It is 45 meters long and 14 meters above the water's surface, it is rebuilt every three years. The Kazura bridge and surrounding forest is breathtakingly beautiful throughout all seasons of the year.
Also, from 19:00 to 21:30 at night, the the Kazura bridge and the Biwa Waterfall are illuminated at night, which is a beautiful contrast from the daytime view.
