Mii-dera Temple Sendango Festival
The Sendango Festival takes its name from the 1,000 dango (Japanese sweets) that are offered to the temple on the day of the festival, and is an exciting event for the people of Otsu. Worshippers pray to the female deity enshrined here for the healthy growth of their children and safe childbirth.
